Global Health Policy Strategist | Researcher | Youth & Women’s Empowerment Advocate

Chinasa U. Imo is a doctoral candidate at the University of Chicago whose work focuses on global health systems, social welfare policy, and public health emergency coordination in Africa. 

She is the founder of What About Rural Health?™, a platform that translates research into public dialogue and amplifies the voices of underserved communities. She is also the co-founder of Innovation Hub for Inclusiveness, Empowerment and Social Development (SieDi-Hub), a nonprofit organisation that equips young people and women with the knowledge, leadership skills, and opportunities to drive social change through research, civic engagement, entrepreneurship, community health, and policy innovation.

Her work bridges academic research with practical action, designing programs that empower communities to influence policy, improve health outcomes, and build local capacity, using community-centred approaches in Nigeria and beyond.
