Hassana Maina

Hassana Maina is a lawyer, writer, and gender consultant with over a decade of driving social change in Northern Nigeria. She is the Founder & Executive Director of ASVIOL Support Initiative, Managing Director of HUMA Laundromat, and a Global Shaper with the Abuja Hub.

A graduate of Ahmadu Bello University and SOAS, University of London, Hassana also holds certifications from Oxford’s Said Business School and other global institutions.

Recognised among the Top 5 Women Fighting for Human Rights in Northern Nigeria (BBC, 2019) and recipient of the Future Awards Africa Prize for Activism (2020), she continues to champion women’s rights, governance, and progressive leadership in Africa.
