Prof. Amina Mustapha

Prof. Amina Mustapha is a distinguished agricultural economist, value chain specialist, and historic university administrator operating at the forefront of agricultural innovation in Sub-Saharan Africa. She made history as the first female Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Development) appointed at Bayero University, Kano. Previously, she served as the Deputy Director of Outreach and Publications at BUK’s renowned Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA).

Prof. Mustapha’s extensive research centers on agricultural marketing, food security resilience, and value chain optimization. She frequently represents Nigeria on global stages, leading international initiatives such as the “Empowering Women in STEM” project in Kigali, Rwanda, and serves as an expert panelist at national economic symposia focusing on investment catalyst strategies.
