ThankGod Okorisha

ThankGod Okorisha is a journalist, development communications specialist, and storyteller dedicated to preserving the history and heritage of the Niger Delta. He is the Founder of the Niger Delta Archive Project (NDAP), an initiative that documents the region’s history through photography, oral histories, documentary storytelling, and archival research.

For nearly a decade, he has worked at the intersection of strategic communications, public policy, and historical documentation, turning complex governance and development issues into compelling public conversations. At Stakeholder Democracy Network (SDN), he leads strategic communications on democratic governance, environmental accountability, peacebuilding, and sustainable development.

He also co-curated the Tour of Contemporary Photos of Port Harcourt: In and Out exhibition, which received recognition from the United Nations World Tourism Organization. His work is driven by a commitment to preserving stories that shape the future of the Niger Delta.
