Osato ‘EDK’ Edokpayi (27)

Osato Edokpayi, popularly known as EDK was born in Benin City, Edo State. His love for broadcasting stemmed from watching the seasoned presenters such as; Cyril Stober on television as a child and listening to veteran radio presenters in and around Benin City. He has always been one to easily integrate into any circle and talk. Armed with a good knowledge of contemporary pop culture, music, and social commentary, he brings to the radio a unique versatility that cuts across a wide range of interests

Hussaina ‘Dashen’ Usman (31)

Hussaina “Dashen” Usman is an award winning OAP, newscaster, compere, content creator-developer and serial entrepreneur who holds a degree in Mass communication from the prestigious A.B.U, Zaria and is one of the strongest voices in Kaduna state. She’s amassed over 9 years of experience working for AIT, The Guardian Newspaper and 96.9 Cool fm.

She currently works for the only urban radio station (98.9 Invicta fm) in Kaduna that has a listenership of over 800,000, stretches across 15 local government areas and engages over 600,000 listeners from every demographic dedicated to listening to her on the Coffee Morning Drive, a prime time show that airs Monday through Friday from 5am – 12pm. Her programs include but are not limited to politics,social issues and human interest.

As a humanitarian, she has been able to use her passion to engage listeners through her interactive radio programs. As part of her CSR, she annually partners and volunteers with her company and the Waka Waka team to positively uplift and impact the lives of the youths, women and the less privilege through donations.

Prior to the 2019 elections, she partnered with stakeholders in the creative industry, 2face and the Kaduna state government in organizing a PEACE CONCERT that resulted to a relatively peaceful electoral process ever recorded. In the same vein, she hosted a campus book tour in Zaria with Aysha Osori (activist, politician and author – “LOVE DOES NOT WIN ELECTIONS).

In one year, she successfully facilitated 2 editions of the YOUTH COLLABORATION SUMMIT and TEDX events that saw young influencers, innovators an financiers collaborate to provide solutions to their communities.

She partners with Amnesty international on the Press for freedom campaign against injustices and attacks on journalists. She mentors entrepreneurs and youths in the creative industry by organizing free capacity building and training workshops. A notable one was with Ade Bantu(Afropolitan vibes singer), Planet Heart Foundation & Music Africa.

Currently, she is working on a project “4 HER BY HER CAMPAIGN “ a movement to inspire the talents, hard work, tenacity, determination and bravery of the Nigerian girl/woman and also an initiative committed to supporting and returning the out of school girl-child in Kaduna state and Nigeria back to the classroom.

Mayowa Ogundele – Adegoke (30)

Mayowa is a Presenter at Channels Television. A graduate of Mass Communication from Redeemer’s University, who is intrigued by the power of both the traditional and new media to connect, shape and change the world.

She joined Channels TV in 2013, working with the Web Team as a Web Editor/Blogger where she honed her skills in social media management and engagement. In September of the same year, she started presenting Channels Television’s Entertainment News programme, called ‘the fun side of life’. She is skilled and experienced in News Casting, TV Production, Live TV Presentation, Voice Overs, Script-writing, Social Media Management. Mayowa has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading journalists in Entertainment and has interviewed both local and international celebrities across various segments of the creative industry. She has also reported on other industries including economy with special focus on investment opportunities between the Middle East and Nigeria.

Simi ‘Drey’Adejumo (28)

Simi is an award winning Broadcaster who has worked in television and radio stations in the UK and Nigeria and has interviewed a vast array of celebrities including A-listers such as; Femi Kuti, Jidenna and Ramsey Nouah. She’s a first class degree Holder in Broadcasting, Journalism and Media Communications.

During her first year in Nigeria, she hosted a talk show, ‘The Late Night Show’ before going on to feature in the hit TV series ‘The Governor’ and ‘Tinsel’.

At the moment, she works for two of the biggest platforms in radio and television; Beat FM where she hosts the Saturday and Sunday afternoon shows and Africa Magic as a presenter on 53 Xtra..  Simi was recently nominated for the 2019 Intellects Giants Awrds as radio personality of the year.

Sandra Ezekwesili (30)

Sandra Ezekwesili was born in Port-Harcourt, she was introduced into acting during her third year of primary school.

Sandra is a radio presenter, public speaker and compere. She currently hosts the drive time radio show, “Hard Facts” on Nigeria Info 99.3FM in Lagos, Nigeria where she discusses topical governance issues. Sandra is also a fierce advocate for transparent governance, consent education in Nigeria lending her voice against sexual harassment.
