The Future Awards Africa Independent (TFAAi) has announced the inaugural edition of its state awards ceremonies. Themed “Celebrating Young Change-Makers”, the ceremonies will take place across Rivers, Abia, Oyo, and Kano States. 

As the state-based platform of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA), TFAAi was established to bring the celebration of excellence closer to home, ensuring that young people making a meaningful impact in their communities are recognised and celebrated where their work matters most. 

With nominees unveiled across categories in each state, this marks an important step in The Future Awards Africa’s commitment to recognising excellence beyond the national stage and creating a space where young people can be seen and celebrated.

The inaugural ceremonies will take place across the four states, beginning with Rivers State on August 15, followed by Abia State on August 22, Oyo State on August 29, and Kano State scheduled for September 5. 

Each event will bring its own local flavour to the celebration of the shared spirit of innovation, leadership, and creativity that defines the TFAAi community. Beyond celebrating individual achievements, the events will create a space for young people, partners, stakeholders, and community leaders to come together, connect, and laud the ongoing work in their communities.

Taking the awards directly into individual states allows TFAAi to deepen its commitment to recognising excellence where it begins and amplifying the stories that deserve to be heard. Beyond the awards, TFAAi is creating opportunities for young people to build meaningful relationships, gain visibility, and connect with others who are equally committed to creating positive change.
